What an unforgettable weekend it was at Miquelon Lake, just outside Edmonton! Our MMCE crew came together for a 2-night, 2.5-day adventure full of laughter, games, nature, and so many heartwarming memories.
🌲 Coordinated wonderfully by Assad and Ansarikka, the trip was a perfect balance of relaxation and fun. A special shoutout to Anaskka for the mouthwatering BBQ spread on Saturday night – definitely a highlight!
Some joined for the full weekend, others dropped in when they could — but every moment was special. The trip felt like a true escape, even though we always wish our time together was longer.
Friday evening kicked things off as everyone arrived and set up their gear. The night lit up with a cozy campfire, music, games, and a surprise Aurora display that had everyone in awe.
Saturday started slow and sweet, with card games and carroms setting the vibe. Soon, the energy picked up with childhood favorites like chattipathu and kho kho — with rules learned (or remembered!) on the spot. Parents, kids, and friends all joined in, making it extra special.
Every meal was a feast — lovingly prepared by both the ladies and gents, with help from just about everyone. From cooking to cleaning, the spirit of teamwork was everywhere.
The kids had the time of their lives — cycling freely around our private group site, collecting rocks, discovering ladybugs, and exploring nature without a care in the world.
What made it all so beautiful was how we came together not just as friends, but as a big family. Adults and children alike walked away with smiles, stories, and full hearts.
Here’s to more adventures, more games, and more time together — no matter how long it is, it always feels too short!
