MMCE Eid Al Adha 2022

MMCE’s first major Eid al-Adha celebration in 2022 was nothing short of magical — a heartwarming day filled with joy, games, and community spirit. Held outdoors at Edmonton’s beautiful Jackie Parker Park, the event brought together families and friends to celebrate one of the most cherished festivals in the Islamic calendar.

From the start, the atmosphere was festive and full of energy. The weather was perfect — clear skies and warm sunshine setting the tone for the day. Children were greeted with hand-picked Eidiyas, specially chosen to bring smiles to their faces. Everyone arrived dressed in their finest Eid attires, and the park buzzed with excitement.

The day was packed with activities for all ages. Traditional games like lemon and spoon races and puzzle-solving contests had participants laughing, cheering, and competing for fun prizes. Lunch was served, adding to the festive mood with delicious food and treats.

As the day progressed, a brief spell of rain brought everyone under a canopy. But instead of dampening spirits, it created a beautiful moment of unity — voices joined together in song, laughter echoing under shelter. And as the rain cleared, a stunning rainbow appeared across the sky — a perfect, symbolic end to a day full of blessings.

Throughout the event, attendees captured beautiful moments in photos, preserving memories of a day filled with joy and connection. We were also honored by the presence of our generous sponsors — Rejo Mathew, Ansari Mohammed and Rinku Joseph — whose support was instrumental in bringing this event to life.

Thanks to them and the spirit of our MMCE community, Eid al-Adha 2022 was not just a celebration — it was a cherished memory and the beginning of a wonderful tradition.
